In 2001, he founded and held China and South Korea Piano Academic Exchange Conference.
Lu, studied music with Professor Liu Hongbing and Associate Professor Zhang Lizhong. Since 2009, he has studied piano performance and teaching method with Professor Zhou Wei with major in piano playing and piano improvisation.
In 2009, Lu served as the Specially Invited Pianist in "Oriental Voices" International Music Festival in Seoul. In 2010, he acted as the invited Pianist in "Harmany International Festival for Modern Music" in Masan, South Korea. As one of the Specially Invited Experts of National Training Plan and Shanxi Provincial Education Department, Lu often holds academic lectures, with the theme of "Piano Improvisation" in universities at home and abroad such as Inje University, South Korea. His students have gained 27 awards in international and domestic competitions. Committed himself to the dissemination and promotion of Shanxi piano works for many years, he has played them in the domestic and overseas concert halls, such as the NCPA, the Concert Hall of the Croatian Museum and the Concert Hall of the LNNT, France. In 2014, he held the "Lu Chenxi Teaching Exchange Concert" in Daegu, South Korea. In 2017, he held Lu Chenxi Piano Recital in Shanxi Polly Theatre, with the theme of “ Originating from the long and meandering Yellow River, containing thousand-year history and culture of Shanxi Province”.
