Zhou, born in a musical family,   committed himself to the piano teaching research and academic exchange activities for more than ten years, both in China and abroad.
Over the years, his students have been admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Xi 'an Conservatory of Music, Wuhan Conservatory of Music, Capital Normal University, Communication University of China and the Piano Academy for Gifted Children in Europe.
He has students pursuing further study in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Singapore and Japan.  His students have gained nearly two hundred awards in international and domestic competitions, among which there are more than eighty champions.
Hence, Zhou has been awarded the Outstanding Piano Tutor Worldwide ,  and has been titled of the Asian Annual Piano Art Teacher and Star Artist.
His team, “Zhou Family”,  has been invited for many times to visit U.S.(New York Carnegie Hall), Germany, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Russia, Croatia, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong of China, Taiwan of China, and to give performances in Zhongshan Music Hall, National Chart Concert Hall,  China Millennium Monument, Yan-Huang Art Museum,Central Conservatory of Music etc, which were reported by mainstream media, inclusive of European Times, Global Daily, People's Daily, Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, Beijing TV, Hubei TV, Sohu, Huanqiu, China Education Network, Phoenix Music Network, Phoenix Online.
Out of the dedication to piano education, Zhou served as the judges and the art directors of events such as the United States Grand Prix Ivy International Piano Composition, Art Director of Airo Music Competition, South Korea-China International Exchanges Music Competition, Singapore International Piano Competition,Steinway National Piano Competition, YAMAHA National Piano Competition, Beijing Piano Music Festival, the World Chinese Art Festival, Global Chinese Youth Pianist Selection, Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition.
